Which Is Better Clickfunnels & Unbounce

Clickfunnels vs Unbounce

In the current online competitive world, the service offered by the brand on the old website is not interactive enough.

Old websites are slow and far difficult to get them in current order without proper knowledge of marketing and technical skills.

Nowadays we need landing pages to engage with maximum consumers. There are simple ways to get the traffic we want on our websites but it’s important to have precise information user is looking for to convert them.

We can either build a landing page on our website, which will highlight every prospect of the brand.

Let’s discuss the landing page functionality offered by both Unbounce and ClickFunnels. You can go for free 14 days trial period to conduct testing and need for your website.

Difference Between Unbounce and ClickFunnels:

This differentiation will help you to select the proper service and functionality for your website.

E-commerce Funcitonality

The biggest difference between these two platforms that I feel is the e-commerce functionality. If you need a platform to sell your products online then it’s easy choice to go with Clickfunnels.

It’s easiest payment gateway setup with Stripe, just makes it the most convenient tool to get live with your products and funnels.

Setting up Order Forms, One-click Upsells and One-click Downsells make it a perfect tool to setup your optin pages and order pages in a single funnel.

You can have as many steps as you need in a funnel. As many upsells and downsells you need in the funnel that helps in increasing the revenue from your customers.

Unbounce don’t offer any e-commerce setup. You can use third party embed codes to setup the products but this functionality is not available in it.

Clickfunnels has this upper hand and it’s not just a simple landing page builder but funnel creator. So it’s the Winner here when you need e-commerce setup.

Ease of Design (Builder Interface)

If you need to design beautiful landing pages with creative assets and optimize them to have more conversions, but don’t need then I can suggest Unbounce.

Even both the platforms provide almost similar features except the e-commerce functionality, Unbounce is a lot more flexible to design beautiful landing pages and is improving a lot with their “Smart Conversions” and “Machine learning” to convert your pages better.

Unbounce is just like Photoshop. You can drag and drop anything anywhere you want and adjust them with layers to move upward or backward.

The best thing is, mobile view placement is completely independent of the desktop placement.

For e.g. If you’ve something center aligned in desktop, it can be independently aligned left or right etc.

Unbounce

Clickfunnels offers column based structure. You can have 1 to 6 columns horizontally.

This structure is used in plenty of the builders but it’s not as good as Unbounce where you can just freely move your assets in the page.

So Unbounce is clearly a “Winner“, if we talk about ease of design.

Split testing or A/B Testing

Both Unbounce and Clickfunnels offers split testing but Unbounce offers better options and UI to test a landing page.

In Unbounce, you can have more than one split test of a landing page.

Let’s say, I want to test 4 different variants of the same optin page. So I can create 4 different variants of the same page and redirect desired percentage of traffic to those variants.

For e.g. You created 4 variants of the page named A, B C and D. You can redirect 25% traffic to each variant. If you want to send more traffic to a specific variant like A, you can then give it 50% traffic and then divide rest of the 50% in other 3 variants.

That’s a great option to test out different variants of the landing page at the same time which saves you a huge amount of time and allow you to optimize the pages.

You can try  Unbounce for 14-Days FREE trial period and get 20% discount for 3 months.

Unbounce split test

In Clickfunnels, you can only have 2 active variants of a landing page at a time. That’s what we can call A/B testing.

You can redirect any percentage of traffic to each variant while doing A/B testing.

Clickfunnels split test

So Unbounce clearly has more flexibility and options to do the split testing as compared to Clickfunnels. So it’s definitely a Winner here.

Integrations with Third Party Apps

You definitely want to store your leads and the data to google sheets or CRMs to start the email marketing.

Both of these platforms offers direct integration with many different platforms like ActiveCampaign, Zoho, Infusionsoft and many more.

Unbounce has fewer direct integration options with CRMs. But if you’re familiar with Zapier then that is not a problem.

Unbounce has direct interface of all Zapier apps in their landing page portal so you can just choose the action you would like and setup the zap.

However, you’ll need a separate Zapier account and may have to take a paid plan for it.

Unbounce Integrations

On the other hand, Clickfunnels offers more direct integration with different platforms.

Being more than just a landing page builder and offering a complete funnel solution, Clickfunnels offer integration with different CRMs plus other tools like Webinarjam, GoToMeeting, Shopify etc.

It makes it a perfect tool for your Webinars, Product selling and ease of integrations.

Clickfunnels Integrations

Both the platforms offers fair amount of integration options with the Third party apps so we can call it even.

Pricing

Pricing can be major point in deciding which platform you want to go with then you’re just getting Unbounce offers 2 tier pricing and Unbounce has 3 tier pricing.

Unbounce has three plans and all the pricing options offers unlimited number of pages.

  • Base plan named “Launch” plan as their base plan which starts at $90 USD/month.
  • Second plan is “Optimizie” which costs around $135 USD/month.
  • Third and most expensive plan “Accelerate”, it costs around $225 USD/month.
  •

You can see the benefits in each plan in the image below

Unbounce also offers a special customised plan for “Enterprise” users and one can get in touch with their support to discuss more about their requirements and get a special price.

What I personally like about this pricing is, you get all of the Unbounce features included in all the plans like

– Unlimited number of pages

– Popups and Sticky Bars

Though there are restrictions like you can get upto 500 conversions every month on the “Launch” plan. If you get more than 500 conversions then you’ll have to upgrade. This limit resets every month.

Clickfunnels offers mainly two plans

– Base plan which starts at $97 USD/month

– Platinum plan which starts at $297 USD/month

You can see what these plan offers in the image below

Clikfunnels pricing

Clickfunnels doesn’t offer unlimited number of pages and funnels in their base plan so that is kind of a drawback.

They offer everything in the platinum plan because they want you to upgrade to the platinum plan if you run out of your funnels.

Support

Unbounce offers great support with the “Live chat” feature during specific hours. So if you run into any issue or have any problems in your account then you can get in touch with them.

I have personally talked to their support and they’re very helpful.

Unlike Unbounce, Clickfunnels has a very pathetic support. I know it’s a harsh word but that’s how it is.

They keep you waiting for hours before you could get a reply and also they don’t really have an answer to your problems.

I had few problems within my account where I had to reach out to Clickfunnels support and they couldn’t replicate the issue, so it is never resolved.

You don’t always have to get to the support but in case you need to then you may have a hard time getting your answers.

Final Verdict

I have worked with both the platforms and I am still using both of them for different uses. Both of these are pretty good platforms having thousands of users.

So there is definitely not an answer if you should go with only one. But you can choose the right one after reviewing your requirements.

So let’s see when you should choose Unbounce and when you should choose Clickfunnels.

Here is when I would choose Unbounce

– No product to sell

– Test and optimize landing pages to see which would work better

– Complex graphics and assets in my landing pages. So with Unbounce it’s easy to put anything anywhere and get your designs ready.

– Better support to address my issues and community forum

You can try  Unbounce with 14- Days FREE trial here and receive a special 20% discount on your subscription after the trial.

Here is when you should choose Clickfunnels. It should be the choice of platforms if you have multiple steps in your flow instead of just a couple of steps for Optin.

When you have:

– Products to sell

– Have multiple steps in your flow

– Need pages for Webinars

– Not really interested in Split testing but one variant at at time

– Need better stats reporting.

You can sign up for Clickfunnels here.
